Makinga Reflection!

The Usual disclaimer...I am a beginner myself ;) So don't take anything I put here asthe 'way' to do things, this is just how I've learned, by teachingmyself. This is I leanred from an old Photoshop 2 tutorial onthe net, about 8 months ago, took me a while to figure out howto do on the newest versions, but here it goes... ;)

Step One: Making a MirrorImage

Firstwe take an insterest colored picture that we'd like to reflect.I like to do kneeling ones, not full standing ones becayse byadding a reflectiong, we are going to be doubling the picturessize. Putting it on a dark background works best.(Note: The finishedpic looks tons better, I just really cut down the file size ;)

Nowwe go to Image>Canvas Size And this box will pop up, wherethe red arrow is pointing is the height of your picture, I usuallydouble or triple this, depending, because you can always cropit out later. It said 6 inches, so I doubled it to 12 inches...

Now,use the rectangle selector to select the bottom area, pic twocolors of blue, the lightest one should end up at the bottom ofthe pic. And gradient fill it!

Proceed to Step Two Waaaaatereffects!
