Description: A Frenchman whose primary love and passion in life is dirt.  This bizarre interest started at the age of seven, when he began exploring the vast sewer networks beneath Paris.  He has a remarkable ability to correctly identify various soils-- it's age, origin, mineral content-- by taste alone.  He is sensitive to light and distrusts those he does not know well.  And he has an iffy diet.  According to Audrey, he loves to eat roots, burrowing animals and insects.  Uncommunicative and exceedingly protective of his samples, he comes from a private industry where he served as a chief consultant to some of the world's largest mining concerns.  Among his credits are 59 patents for various pieces of excavation apparatus.
