Description: He ruled at the time the city sank below the waves, and still rules it.  He feels the burden of the ages weighing down upon him.  He had to lose his wife to save the city and witness Atlantis's downfall.  Now, blind and careworn, he lives only for Kida's love and his duty to protect the Atlanteans from the truth about their past.  Over the centuries the king has allowed his people to lose their ability to read.  He is aware that knowledge can enlighten, but believes it can also destroy.
